Spring Term Auditions!
And so begins another very exciting term for SUDS, the auditions for this terms plays will be:
Tuesday 10th 6-9pm and Wednesday 11th 10-1pm in Falmer Common Room.
The plays holding auditions will be:
-’Dinner’ by Moira Buffini
An artist, a scientist and a sexpot are coming to dinner. Paige, hostess extrordinare, is celebrating the publication of her husband’s bestseller. The arrival of Mike, marooned in the foggy lane adds an unexpected addition to the evenings entertainment. A silent waiter, sourced from some obsure website completes the picture – let the dinner from hell begin.
Come Dine With Me on acid, with blood before taxis
-Brand new piece of writing ‘A Day With Bruno’
A man escapes into his mind to cope with grief, after the death of a loved one through a series of surreal experiences in everyday surroundings. With constant reminders of his past relationship, he reflects on his regrets resulting in his own fragmented solace.
-’Bed’ by Jim Cartwright
Seven elderly people share an enormous bed, to dream, remember and reflect on a long past. Through a series of sparkling snapshots, our characters are enveloped by sleep and its consequences. From a country road to the depths of the sea, from tears to laughter, ‘Bed’ explores sleep in a way only a dreamer knows possible.
You don’t have to prepare anything before hand, just turn up and have a go! There’ll be plenty of SUDS t-shirt-clad helpers to answer any questions and talk you through the process as we know how worrying auditions can be.

Apologies! The Spring Term Auditions were on the 10th and 11th January. Sorry for not being clear enough, especially if you wanted to audition.
